Honor Flight Chicago is an organization with a simple mission: bring as many veterans to Washington, DC to view their memorials as possible. These day-trips to Washington are an emotional and wonderful experience for the veterans, mostly from World War II, who attend. Honor Flight Chicago completed five successful Flights in 2008 and is planning more for 2009. Tawani Foundation is honored to be a part of this project to honor our heroes.

The Tawani Foundation recognized very early on that the mission of Honor Flight Chicago was one of merit. By means of the foundation grant, Tawani helped us begin our extraordinary inaugural year, a year in which we started operations, flew successfully five times and brought over 500 people, 305 of them veterans, to Washington for a day of honor, remembrance and celebration. Tawani's support of our mission has helped the name of Honor Flight Chicago become even more respected and known. Jeanmarie Kapp, President, Honor Flight Chicago
