Funding Report
We have made huge gains as an educational institutional and we can attribute some of that success to the development of the new website. During the calendar year of 2007, the Intrepid website had 702,401 hits. In 2008, with the reopening of the Museum and the launch of the new website, we saw an incredible rebound. Total hits for the last three months of 2008 alone totaled an incredible 446,514. The observable trend for 2009 indicates that the estimated hits for this year will be between 1.2 million and 1.5 million.

Our new interactive website, funded by the Tawani Foundation, allows visitors to the site the opportunity to gain a fuller understanding of Intrepid's rich history and learn about the brave men and women who served aboard her. In addition, they also learn the importance of honoring our military past and recognizing the sacrifices that were made to keep our country safe.
